From Tamriel Dreams to Going LIVE: A Long-Overdue Streaming Journey
4 min read

Sometimes I forget how well Monday mornings can ambush you. And sometimes the only reasonable response is smashing the keyboard and laughing at yourself. So here we are.
This post is both an update and the start of a small public record — part blog, part confession, part "okay, I’m finally doing this."
Five Years Late, Right on Time
I recently started streaming on Kick.
Funny thing is, the intention to do this goes back almost five years.
Same story with The Elder Scrolls Online.
I wanted to play ESO the moment it launched. I was already there at the beginning — but actually sitting down and committing to it seriously took time.
So yes — I often feel like I’m living life slightly delayed. But when I do arrive, I tend to stay.
Fast-forward to today:
- 4000+ hours played
- CP 2000+
- Proud owner of the rare "Chaos Champion" title
(Yes, I know there are newer ones. Yes, that means I need to play more.)
Streaming didn’t start immediately, but the character was already there — fully baked, heavily invested, and very ready.
Naming Things Is Hard (Especially When They’re Already Taken)
The original plan was simple: @gokerGAME
Then I checked platforms…
Turns out I have impostors. I don’t like name twins. At all.
Since the idea isn’t just gaming — but also coding, crafting, and whatever else spills into the stream — I settled on:
> @gokerLIVE
Some platforms still have @gokerGAME, others @gokerDEV or @gokerART.
The internet is old. I was there early. Somehow I still lost half the usernames. I’m not bitter. Okay, maybe a little.
Gear, Glorious Gear (and Logitech, We Need to Talk)
Before going live, I had to gather and repurpose whatever gear survived the years.
Quick side note:
Shame on you, Logitech.
My G915 TKL key literally broke mid-game. The stem went inside. Surgical intervention pending.
If I buy new gear, it probably won’t be Logitech. You’re losing a loyal customer here.
Current Setup Highlights
- Capture card (the cheapest one possible — but hey, it works)
- Streaming PC → MacBook pipeline (surprisingly controlled)
- 1080p only, for now
- No Elgato because… have you seen the price?
If income happens, upgrades will follow. If not — we improvise.
Since I sold my motorcycle, my Insta360 X3 was just sitting around.
Now it’s my streaming webcam. First test yesterday — honestly, not bad at all.
The “office” still needs work though. Calling it an office is generous. It’s more like a man cave with ambition.

What I Actually Stream
The original idea was calm, quiet card games — specifically Tales of Tribute, ESO’s own card game.
But then I remembered something important:
I was already deeply playing ESO.
Once I’m in-game, I can’t just sit still. I farm. I roam. I chase side objectives. I RP. I get distracted — professionally.
So the current main goal is simple: CP 3600
Along the way:
- Farming sessions
- Open-world roaming across Tamriel
- Roleplay-style streams
- Build-focused and character-deep-dive sessions
Late one night (or very early morning), when most people were asleep, I ran through Cyrodiil, stole a scroll from Babanas, and caused a bit of solo NPC chaos.
I even turned it into a short:
- 22× speed
- 1.5 minutes
- Running Cyrodiil end-to-end still takes time 😄
🎥 Watch the short here:

And no — Cyrodiil hasn’t really changed.
I hadn’t been there in a long time, so it felt different. But some things in Tamriel are stubbornly timeless.
Balancing Streams, Code, and Real Life
At the same time, I’m coding an analysis tool for a new academic article. The TODO list alone could take months.
How many evenings go to streaming? How much of that process becomes content?
No clear answers yet. But that’s fine.
The plan is to add a Gaming / Live category to the website and post weekly updates — not just highlights, but the process itself. A public log. A slow build.
Final Notes
If you play ESO, find me: @goker
If you want to watch: https://kick.com/gokerLIVE
This is long overdue. But it finally feels right.
And honestly — that’s usually how the best things start.
